Moodboard of ideas and influences

This is my moodboard about long exposure photography and something that I would like to do for my FMP. I'm planning to take my camera and make pictures in different places of London, especially where it's a lot of movement, like buses, cars, people, lights and etc. I really like how the background is still and not blurry, but everything that is moving is blurry, which is interesting and makes you look at the picture longer.

Planning how to shot Light painting photography

That's the set up I used to take pictures of myself and to make it easier I just put the timer on my camera.

And that's another set up to do light painting photography and this time I had a model with a lighting stick. The equipment I needed for my light painting experiment I used my DSLR camera, a tripod and a lighting stick.

The settings I used to take pictures were different because of the lighting stick, but I only changed the shutter speed (from 1 to 1/3 seconds)  or if I wanted for shutter speed to stay longer I changed it to 5 seconds. The ISO was at from 400 to 800, and not to make it to bright.

Slow shutter speed

This is my location for taking slow shutter speed photography and I went to Central London where it a lot of movement and lights, especially in the evening. The only equipment I used is a camera. The settings of shutter speed was 1"3 seconds and the ISO was changing, because it was getting darker so I had to increase the ISO speed. It was a bit challenging for me, because I didn't had a tripod with me, but when I was taking a picture, I looked at the viewfinder to see what I'm taking picture of, and at the same time tried to keep my camera close to my face and my hands still to reduce the shakiness of a camera.

Editing

When I will edit the other pictures, I'll try to edit differently so they look more interesting and I might crop an image if I don't want something to be there. This will also make my future posters, or if I want to experiment more, those pictures can be used to make a magazine or a website, for example photography exhibition. I will do it after I have all the pictures taken or edited.

Making posters

This is how I'm planning for my posters to look like, I will choose a few really good pictures and try making different posters with caption. I will change the font for each of a poster, so they will not look the same.

For my second poster, I want to add a caption, but I will take the same idea like one instagram photographer used. I like how the "Slow Shutter Speed" text is bigger and the other text is in smaller size to create balance and to point out the theme of the images.

My magazine idea

I'm thinking about making my magazine spread of 2-4 pages to show my work and pictures. I'm planning to include different types of images, like slow shutter speed and light painting photography pictures that I got.

Fun fair attraction pictures

I'm also planning to take pictures of fun fair attractions this weekend. Because they are moving in different speed and especially in the evening I will capture that blurry lights. I'm then will use those images for magazine and website.

For my website I will use Wix. First I will choose the template I would like to use and then change to my images. I can also put some description or information about this website.
